Dear MamaBoop,
I want to ask a question that has been bothering me for some time yet I am too embarrassed to ask any of my friends. Why do men want sex every night? I love my partner desperately but I do not want to have sex every night. Two or three times a week would be great for me. Even if we have been fighting all day, not speaking all day, have company for over night, or I am on my monthly, which is heavy and painful for me, after the lights are out and we are in bed he starts pushing up against me without a word! This is disgusting for me. But if I complain he says he needs it and will go outside our relationship for it if I don't give in. I feel used. Do you think I am wrong?

Thanks for your question, now I'm disgusted! Your partner sounds like a cretan to me. I know most women probably do not want to have sex as often as their men, especially after the newness of the relationship has cooled. But this person is very much into his own wants and needs and not into yours at all. How insensitive! Plus he emotionally blackmails you as well when he threatens you by saying "give it to me or I'll go elsewhere". At this point you both need a serious sit down conversation and you both need to come to an agreement about the sexual side of your relationship. Sex as often as money ends a relationship. After you make your desires known to him about the limitations and he continues to ignore your wishes, well at that point you know you are involved with a self-serving person who cares more about himself than you. That is a entirely bigger issue.
Try putting it to him this way "Honey, I love cake! But if I eat cake every night after dinner soon I will tire of it and after that if I am force feed cake against my will shortly I will come to hate it and never want to eat it again! So the occasional night off from eating cake only serves to make it that much sweeter a night ot two later when it is served up again."
