On Monday, September 28th, Brigette Bardot turns 75 years old. I have posted this pictoral homage to honor the french beauty who, along with a handful of other international film stars, ushered in a new relaxed natural sexiness in the 1950s. Along with Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, and Catherine Deneuve, she made stiff underwear, high-collar clothing, laquored styled hair and prim-n-proper blase.



Once the world had gotten a glimpse of Brigette in "Et Dieu crea la femme" (And God created woman) in 1956, instantly making Ms.Bardot the face that symbolized France -- and French women, there was no turning back. The hair came down and the underwear came off.
Viva le Naturale! But mostly, Viva la Bardot!
Happy Birthday Brigette Bardot!
